Carnival Vista is a cruise ship built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone (GO) for the American Carnival Cruise Line. The keel was laid on 14 October 2014 and the ship entered into service as planned on 1 May 2016. On 25 June 2015, the vessel was launched at the naval shipyard of Monfalcone. As per tradition, when it came into service, being the most modern ship, Carnival Vista became the flagship of the fleet taking the place of Carnival Breeze (which entered into service on 3 June 2012). On 29 April 2016 it left the Panzano building site at the Monfalcone shipyard to travel to Trieste, arriving on 30 April, from where it embarked on its inaugural voyage lasting 13 nights and 14 days in the Mediterranean, sailing on 1 May under the command of Commander Rocco Lubrano, Chief Engineer Cesare Boldrini and Purser Pierre Camilleri.
