Princess Cruises

Established in 1965 by Stanley McDonald, the company was then acquired by Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company, which managed it directly until 23 October 2000, then spinning off the division to create the independent company P&O Princess Cruises PLC. P&O Princess Cruises PLC merged with Carnival Corporation in 2003, creating the world’s largest cruise operator.
